EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

CONSTRUCTION OF STEEL SILOS FOR WHEAT STORAGE

Government of Punjab, Food Department invites Expression of Interest (EOI) for the construction of State-of-the-Art storage facilities at various locations in the Punjab for storage of 5 Lac M. Tons wheat in the first stage. Each System at a site will consists of latest steel silos, unloading bins, wheat handling system, wheat cleaning system, computerized temperature monitoring system, computerized level indicators, computerized operation system with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) in the control room, weigh bridge and the allied civil work. Each system at a site will be varying capacity depending upon local requirement.

Expression of Interest (EOI) are invited reputed National and International Companies/Firms for the construction of aforesaid steel silos. The international firm/companies may participate through their local representatives.

The objective of inviting EOI is to carry out short listing of suitable companies/firms/institutions who shall be subsequently invited to submit detailed estimates/proposals on turn key basis (Design, estimates and execution).

It should , however, be noted that Food Department is not obliged to invite for participation in the subsequent bidding process any particular company/firm/organization who had Expressed interested in this project.

Interested companies/firms/organization should forward their Expression of Interest along with essential detail including:-

1. Company profile
2. Legal status.
3. Proof of existence for at least five years
4. Sector/project related experience.
5. Summary statement of recent similar project experiences.
6. Proof of financial health.
7. Organogram, list of staff showing their capability, brief profile of selected key relevant technical experts, etc.
8. Affidavit that the firm/company has neither been blacklisted nor any contract rescinded in the past for non-fulfillment of contractual obligations.
9. Client's satisfaction certificate for the last three days jobs from the respective clients to review the firm's/company's performance.
10. NTN (if applicable).

Food Department reserves the right to reject or cancel any EOI without assigning any reason thereof.

Expression of Interest should be forwarded to the Secretary to Government of the Punjab, Food Department, 2-Bank Road, Lahore, Pakistan (Ph #92-42-9210514) not later than 31st October, 2007.
