Research Manage Cum Commercial Breeder

The candidate must possess a PhD or MSc in Plant Breeding or related field with 5 years of significant people and project management experience in an agriculture related research position. The incumbent must have a broad knowledge of crop production and farming practice as well as farm equipments. The incumbent will be responsible for all day-to-day operations of a commercial maize testing program, including the planning, planting and harvesting of all yield trails, as well as the general operations at a research site. He / She will also contribute towards recruiting, training, development and retention of personnel as well as budget management and care & maintenance of company assets, The incumbent must have exhibited team leadership skills including excellent organizational & record keeping skills, Individual must have demonstrated ability to write and speak English fluently, have good communication and interpersonal skills. The position requires a good working knowledge of the statistics & analysis.
