CHAIRMAN SECRETARIAT MEDIA CONSULTANT

In its ongoing endeavor to provide effective services, SECP is reinforcing its management team in Islamabad and Karachi. This initiative is aimed at further enhancement of SECP's effectiveness for playing a proactive role in interacting with key market players, intermediaries and other stakeholders to improve the regulatory regimes applicable to various market constituents.

Towards this end, SECP is seeking to attract high caliber professionals to take up & achieve its objective. The Chairman Secretariat coordinates the overall functioning of SECP and liaisons with external entities, including government agencies, multilateral and international organizations, and internally coordinates with all other functions, and manages donor-funded projects, etc.

The persons required by the SECP for the positions given below would be a part of the Senior Management team responsible for discharging SECP's mandate and achieving it vision.

HEAD OF CHAIRMAN SECRETARIAT - ISLAMABAD

The persons we are looking for should have the following profile:

Qualification & Experience:

Master Degree or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from a reputable educational institution with at least 12-18 years experience in a senior Management position

Terms of reference:

This Position reports to the chairman (SECP)

1. To supervise & manage specified various projects and assignments being executed by SECP. This may entail implementation of project activities according to project documents / memoranda of association and fielding of consultants according to specified criteria, etc.
2. To supervise and direct other activities of the chairman Secretariat, as may be necessary.
3. Correspondence with GOP and other Stakeholders.

HEAD OF INTERNAL & EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS

(MEDIA CONSULTANT - ISLAMABAD

The person we are looking for should have the following profile:

Qualification & Experience:

Masters Degree preferably in Mass Communication / Journalism / Public Relation from a reputable educational institution with at least 6 years experience. This dynamic role will suit those who;

1. Have already worked as an Editor of a Newspaper/Magazine or/ and as an Anchor of a TV program or/ and as a Media Manager or a Public Relation Manager with a large national / multinational Organization.
2. Is creative, takes initiative and presents ideas effectively.

Terms of reference:

This position reports to the Chairman (SECP)

1. To manage External Communications & to act as a Spokesperson for the Commission.
2. To administer all aspects of Media Relations including:

a.  media queries

b.  interviews

c.  press conference

d.  news releases

3.  To incorporate Date & Information for Communication to external Agencies, Media and General Public.

4.  To manage Internal Communication by synchronizing & coordinating information among the Internal Functions / Departments of the Commission.

5.  To provide proactive Consultation, Suggestions and Supervision to the Senior Management Team in the Development of Key Message and Public Relation Strategies.

6.  To design & development Publication i.e. Monthly Newsletter, Annual Report, etc.

The Individuals must be comfortable in working in an automated work environment and should have exceptional Communication, Writing, Presentation and Analytical Skills with a positive and proactive team working approach.
