Qualification, Experience & Research:
BASIC QUALIFICATION:
MBBS or equivalent Medical qualification recognized by PM & DC

POSTGRADUATE QUALIFICATION :
FCPS, MD or equivalent qualification recognized by PM & DC.

EXPERIENCE:
Three years teaching experience as an Associate Professor in the respective a subject provided that total experience as Assistant  Professor & Associate Professor is not less than eight years in a postgraduate institute.
OR
Nine years as Assistant Professor or four years teaching experience as Associate Professor in under graduate Institute provided total experience is not less than twelve years in undergraduate Institute.

RESEARCH (PUBLICATIONS)
Must have produced at least two research papers during three years as Associate Professor, provided that total research papers as Assistant Professor Associate Professor is not less than five papers.
OR
At least three research papers during Associate Professorship provided that total research papers as Assistant / Associate Professor are not less then seven if experience is undergraduate institute.

Remarks:
The Qualification in column 6 (para-2) for appointment as Professor should be in respective specialty and not the general qualification.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (BPS-19)

Five years teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in the respective subject in the post graduate institute only.
OR
Eight years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in an undergraduate medical institute.

RESEARCH (PUBLICATIONS):
Must have produced at least three research papers.
OR
Must have produced at least five research papers if teaching experience is in undergraduate institute.

EXPERIENCE:
Five years teaching or practical experience before or after the postgraduate qualification in the relevant subject in order of preference as under:

1st Preference: Teaching experience

2nd Preference: Practical experience after postgraduate qualification.

3rd Preference: Practical experience before postgraduate qualification.

RESEARCH (PUBLICATIONS)
Credit should be given to the original published research work in the standard Medical Journal.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Complete applications along with C.V (duly in) attested copies of testimonials, experience certificates, three latest photographs, Domicile National Identity Card, MBBS Degree , Postgraduate Degre , PM & DC registration certificates (qualification & experience) and copy of publication if any should be submitted to the office of the Deputy Dean, Federal Postgraduate Medical Institute, Lahore - 54600 by 20-10-2007. Incomplete applications will not be entertained in any case.

• Persons already in Government Services should route their applications though their Department Heads as applicable with clearance from  the parent department.
• The selection will be made on merit according to Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute Rules & Regulation and provincial quota will be observed.
• Selected candidates will not be accepted on deputation. They will have to resign or relieve their job if in service of a Government / Semi Government / Autonomous Organization.
• The application forms available from the Accounts section of Federal Postgraduate Medical Institute, Lahore -54600 on payment of Rs. 100/- either in person or through money order or Bank Draft worth Rs. 130/- Postal order or cheque will not be entertained in any case.
• Aseparate complete application is necessary for each post applied.
• Date & place of interview will be communicated ion the interview call in the interview call after short listing (only short listed candidates will be called for interview)
• No TA/DA will be admissible if called for interview and first joining.

 Note: Persons from other province who are otherwise eligible may also apply. They would however be considered for appointment to the post on contract for 02 years or till available of a suitable Candidates from the concerned province which ever is earlier.
