Expression of Interest

Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) Pakistan Railways

Pakistan Railways invites Expression of Interest from suitable qualified organizations for the provision of the Electronic Document Management System for Pakistan Railways Infrastructure department. The Department requires the following stepwise functions to be provided in the EDMS.

• Identify and digitize original maps, design layouts of the equipment, bridges and railway track, editing and image quality control and archival of the digital images onto CDs tape backups etc. Working with in-house staff but has outside EDMS software that must have the capacity to perform the above functions.
• Consultancy services for installation and implementation of Electronic Document Management System.
• Training to be provided to the staff to effectively perform all the functions of Electronic Document Management System.

Companies shall be appreciated for the EDMS over the open source suite of software for storing, retrieving, editing, image quality control, archival or the workflow capabilities to minimum the cost of license fees for the software involved.

Companies are also advised to address their software capability or compatibility, technical specifications and financial impacts through pre-bid presentations.

Companies must provide the list of their successful projects in the field of digitizing and the relevant experience that must be more than 5 years.

Proposal should include the following items:

• implementation/integration costs
• Hardware (Servers, Scanners etc.)
• Additional Software required (server and client based if any)
• Training
• License Fees
• Ongoing maintenance costs and methods of calculations
