Cardiac Surgery Unit Vacancy

Applications are invited for filling up the following post on contract basis in the Project titled "Cardiac Surgery Unit" Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Islamabad, in the Committee Room of Ministry of Health, Block "C", Pak Secretariat, Islamabad.

i) Assistant Professor of Cardiology (BS-18)

ii) No. of Post: 01

iii) Provincial / regional quota: Punjab

iv) Period of contract: 02 years

v) Maximum age limit: 40 years

Qualification / Experience:

a) MBBS or equivalent Medical qualification recognized by PMDC.

b) D.Sc, Ph.D, FCPS, MD, MS or equivalent in the relevant subject or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC.

c) Five years teaching or practical experience before or after the postgraduate qualification in the relevant subject for the holders of higher postgraduate qualification like FCPS etc, in order of preference as under:

1st Preference: Teaching Experience

2nd Preference: Practical Experience after postgraduate qualification

3rd Preference: Practical Experience before postgraduate qualification.

d) Credit should be given to the original published research work in the standard Medical Journal.

e) Qualification should be in the respective specially and not general qualifications.

f) Candidates possessing a D.Sc/Ph.D degree, thesis or major subject / course should be related to the subject in which they are appointed.

g) Candidates without a basic medical qualification are eligible for appointment as Assistant Professor Provided they possess at least D.Sc/Ph.D, Degrees provided a medical graduate with the requisite qualification is not available.

vi) Relaxation in age will be admissible as per Government Instructions.

vii) No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in Interview.

vii) Government employees should apply through proper channel.
