WATER AND POWER DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY [WAPDA] SATPARA DAM PROJECT - DAMS AND POWERHOUSES

INVITATION FOR TENDERS FOR ELECTRO-MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT OF POWERHOUSE-3 AND POWERHOUSE-4

Satpara Dam Project  Dam and Powerhouse-1 and 2 are presently under different stages of construction and are nearing completion. Water and power Development Authority (WAPDA) intends to construct two additional powerhouses and invite sealed tenders from Manufacturers / Contractors / Joint Ventures of international repute for the design, engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of electro-mechanical equipment of the Powerhouses. The bidders may indicate their currency requirement in relevant form provided in bidding documents.

1. Capacity

Powerhouse-3    Two units capacity 1.25 MW each

Powerhouse-4    Two units capacity 0.73 MW each

2. Turbine and Generator

Horizontal Francis turbines directly coupled with Generators complete with Auxiliaries.

3. Transformers

11kV/11kV, 4.8 MVA (One No.) and 11/0.4kV, 100kV

A (Four Nos.)

4. 11kV Transmission Line

Dog conductor approx. Length is 8Km

5. Other Equipment

SCADA system , allied equipment and spare parts for item 1 to 4 (above).

The bidding documents, giving details and technical specifications of the afore said equipment shall be available for purchase from office of the General Manager Projects (NA), Sunny View, Kashmir Road, Lahore from 23-7-2007 to 5-9-2007 during working hours, on submission of written application to this office and on payment of non refundable fee of Rs. 12000/- or  US$200 only, additional sets of documents may be purchased on payment of the same additional non refundable fee. The bidders who desire to receive the bidding documents through TCS  should pay an additional amount of Rs. 1200/- and US$ 50 for local and International Bidder respectively. The fee for bidding document and courier charges for delivery of bidding documents should be paid in the shape of Bank Draft / Pay Order in favor of General Manager Projects (Northern Area), Lahore. The representative of firms should bring the authority letter from their principal for purchase of the bidding documents. All bids should be accompanied by a bid bond amounting to 2% of the bid price in the form specified in bidding documents. The bids along with bid bond, must be submitted at the above office upto 10:30 a.m. on 5-9-2007. Bids shall be opened at 11:00 a.m. on the same day in the office of the General Manager Projects (Northern Areas) Wapda, Sunny View, Kashmir Road, Lahore in the presence of bidders representatives who desire to attend. WAPDA reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids and annul the bidding process without assigning any reason thereof.
