Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) invites nominations and applications for the position of Vice Chancellor. Founded in 1985 as a not for profit university, chartered by the Government of Pakistan, LUMS has rapidly become Pakistan's premier educational institution renowned for its quality and impact.

Currently comprising three schools i.e. Suleman Dawood School of Business, School of Humanities and School Sciences, and the School of Science and Engineering, LUMS plans to upgrade its Department of Law and Policy to a full fledged School in the near future. LUMS modern 100 acre campus in Lahore provides excellent educational and residential facilities to a student body of 2,500 approximately 35% of which is women.

Our vision is to become a globally renowned research university within the next decade, offering multi-disciplinary education in management social sciences, humanities, law, science and engineering both at the under graduate and graduate levels.

The Vice Chancellor will assume a leadership role, evolving and executing an exciting vision with the Deans while nurturing and consolidating the values and systems of a world class university. As the Chief Executive Officer of the University, he or she will report directly to the Board of Trustees of LUMS and be responsible for the University's academic and administrative affairs and external relations.

The position offers a unique opportunity for personal and institutional impact. The successful candidate would have an outstanding record of managing academic or research organizations, a board awareness of conditions shaping scholarship and higher education, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong networking ability locally and internationally.
