Punjab Skills Development Fund

Expression of Interest for Skills/Vocational Training in Six Model Villages of District Muzaffargarh

·         Introduction
The Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) is a section 42, not-for-profit company financed by the Government of Punjab and Department for International Development, UK. PSDF is a funding organization which acts as a financier of skills development / vocational training projects and intends to stimulate the market for skills development / vocational training projects and intends to stimulate the market for skills development or the poor and the vulnerable populations for four districts of southern Punjab (Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Lodhran and Muzaffargarh).

·         The Assignment
The Punjab Skills Development Fund intends to finance skills development/ vocational training projects promoting income generation opportunities of flood-affected population in 6 model villages of Tehsils Muzaffargarh and kot Addu, District Muzaffargarh. The model villages are basti Meeran Mullah, Basti Khar Niazi Wala, Rakh Jalwala, Bhulla Mouza Aalo Rid Gujrat, Khara Nawa and Rakh Ehsanpur.
Expressions of interest are invited form NGOs, private training institutes, private firms etc having past experience of skills development/ vocational training programmes. After initial short-listing, proposals will be invited form selected organizations for skills training of up to 500 poor and vulnerable people. The proposal should identify relevant vocational skills (of duration 4-8 months) and their linkage with income generation, employment or self-employment opportunities and delivery methodology (including community mobilization & targeting approach).

Eligibility Criteria for Expression of interest

1.      Proof of registration and tax payment

2.      Audited Financial Statements or last 3 years

3.      Acceptance of PSDF monitoring requirements

4.      Undertaking of not being blacklisted by any Government or Semi-Government Organization

5.      Details of past experience and personnel

6.      Details of intended vocational training activities

·         Deadline
A two stage selection process shall be adopted: Expression of interest followed by Request for Proposal.

·         After initial short-listing, only selected organizations will be invited to submit a proposal.

·         PSDF reserves the right to reject one or al of the EOIs/ proposals.

·         Incomplete EOIs will not be entertained.
