EXPRESSION OF INTEREST - SME Management Training

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, promotes sustainable private sector investment in developing countries as a way to reduce poverty and improve people's lives. In addition to its investment work in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), IFC is providing advisory services aimed at specific aspects of private sector development through its private Enterprise Partnership for MENA (PEP-MENA).

To support this effort and enable private sector companies to run more efficient operations, IFC is seeking training providers in Pakistan to deliver IFC's international range of management training products and services, Business Edge TM.. Training providers are expected to have extensive experience in training and mentoring senior management as well as staff of small and medium enterprises. Training topics will focus on management skills in the areas of Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Human Resources and Personal Productivity. Training providers will undergo a one week accreditation course, scheduled for November 2008.

Selected training providers will have trainers with

1. A minimum of 5 years experience in training and coaching senior management of small and medium enterprises
2. Specializations in one or more of the above mentioned management topics
3. Proven practical management experience in banks and/or companies with large distribution networks
4. The ability to conduct training in Urdu and English
