Nascom Construction (Pvt.) Ltd., a part of the Oyster Group, with a current Site build capacity of over 60 Turnkey Sites per month, is in the process of further increasing the nationwide capacity to 100 Turnkey Site builds per month. Nascom is the largest and most integrated telecom infrastructure solutions provider in Pakistan and has put together a horizontally as well as vertically integrated network of allied companies to manufacture, install, commission and integrate Cellular BTS sites all across Pakistan.
Nascom requires career-oriented and high performing individuals, both male and female, for the following permanent positions in our fast-expanding nationwide operations in Lahore (Head Office), Karachi and Islamabad. REGIONAL MANAGERS (2 Positions)
Civil or Mechanical Engineers with 5 to 7 years senior management level experience of independently planning, managing and directing all aspects of a large-scale GSM roll-out project including client handling. The position requires exceptional management and leadership qualities together with requisite technical knowledge and the ability to fully and independently manage a rollout project in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must have the ability to comprehend core project objectives and translate these into outputs through managers, engineers and supervisors and accomplish targets within tight deadlines.
AREA MANAGERS (6 Positions)
Civil Engineers with 4 to 5 years experience in an independent operational capacity responsible for planning, organizing, controlling and implementing civil construction and erection at multiple sites simultaneously, preferably of BTS cell sites of a GSM roll-out or similar project. Must possess strong leadership qualities, orientation & communication skills to accomplish results directing a team of engineers, supervisors and contractors. Experience in client acceptance procedures (PACs / FACs) will be considered plus.
QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGERS (3 position)
Mechanical Engineer with 3 to 4 years experience in Quality Assurance of civil and structural construction at sites preferably in Telecom Industry. Must be able to know ISO related procedures and ensure document preparation at completion of each construction activity.
DOCUMENTATION MANAGERS (2 Positions)
MBIT, MBA, MCS, BBA or BCS or equivalent with 2 to 3 years experience in managing, compiling, maintaining and updating project documentation of Telecom Rollout Projects. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and database programs. Individuals for this job should be meticulous in their approach and paperwork.
CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERS (18 Positions)
Civil Engineers with 1 to 3 years experience in construction preferably of GSM BTS Cell Sites or other similar multiple projects. Candidate must be able to utilize the team of surveyors, draftsmen, supervisors and sub-contractors to construct multiple BTS Cell Sites in a local context. Experience in client acceptance procedures (PACs / FACs) will be considered a plus.
BUSINESS EXECUTIVES (3 Positions)
MBA or MBIT with 2 to 3 years experience in managing product deliveries and receivables, work executed on projects and handling corporate clients independently. Will be required to set credit limits, devise individual client strategies and control excessive financial exposure. Engineering background will be considered a plus.
TRAINEE CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERS (8 Positions)
Civil Engineers with less than 1 year experience in construction of GSM BTS Cell Sites or Petrol Retail Outlets. Outstanding fresh graduates will also be considered.
TELECOM ENGINEERS (6 Positions)
B.E./B.Sc. Telecom Engineering or MCS/BCS with 1 to 2 years experience in installation and commissioning of RF equipment at BTS sites. Fresh candidates with good academic record will be considered as Trainee Engineers.
QUANTITY SURVEYORS (6 Positions)
Civil Engineers /Diploma in Surveying or Drafting with 2-3 years experience in drafting or quantity surveying, preferably of GSM BTS sites, Retail Petrol Outlets or other civil construction projects. The job will involve site survey, assisting in designing BTS sites, preparation of BOQs for construction contractors and verification and modification of BOQs from as-built drawings.
DOCUMENTATION EXECUTIVES (4 Positions)
MBA, MBIT, MCS, BBA or BCS with 1 to 2 years experience in compiling, maintaining and updating project documentation of Telecom Rollout or similar fast paced projects. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and database programs. Outstanding fresh graduates will also be considered.
PROJECT COORDINATORS (5 Position)
MBA, MBIT, MCS, BBA or BCS with 1 year experience in coordination of multiple activities of a project rollout and a commanding personality. Must possess good communication, planning, execution and coordination skills. Outstanding fresh graduates will also be considered. Civil Engineering background will be considered as an additional qualification.
SITE ACQUISITION OFFICERS (8 Positions)
BCS, B.Com, BA, BCS or equivalent with 1 to 3 years experience of direct Site Acquisition work with a major telecom contractor or operator as well as of conducting SSRs and TSSRs as per client specifications. Knowledge of reports and procedures associated with Telecom Site Acquisition is necessary. Must be able to acquire and complete all documents necessary for site acquisition. Good communication skills and contacts to expedite acquisition work, obtaining required NOCs and power connections.
FIELD & QC SUPERVISORS (8 Position)
Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 2-3 years of field experience in civil construction or erection work at supervisory level or in quality control of construction projects. Applicants without DAE but relevant experience in the Telecom construction sector. Outstanding fresh candidates will also be considered.
