SMEC is an Australian based engineering consultancy having offices in over forty countries across the globe. Due to a significantly increased work load we currently have an urgent need for experienced professionals to work on current projects. Well qualification / experienced candidates will have the opportunity to undertake overseas assignments.

1. HYDRO POWER & TUNNELLING PROJECTS

1.1 Hydropower Engineer

Degree qualified Hydropower Engineers having 5 to 20 years of relevant experience in any aspect of concept study feasibility study detailed engineering and construction drawings for Hydropower Projects.

1.2. Civil / Structural Engineers

Degree qualified structural Engineers having 5 to 15 years of relevant experience in detailed engineering and preparation of construction drawings , working experience on Hydro-power Projects with the Finite Element Methods software like Anays / Lucas will be added advantage.

1.3. Tunnel Engineers

Degree qualified civil Engineers with 5-10 years of experience in tunnel design. Should be well versed with the latest software's used in detailed designing of the tunnels and underground structures. A Master Degree in Rock Mechanics would be highregarded.

1.4. Dam Engineers

Degree qualified Civil Engineers with 5-10 years of experience in design of Dam component and preparation of construction drawings.

1.5. Geotechnical Engineers

B.Sc Civil & Mechanical Engineers. 5 years experience in the field of Geo-Technical works for hydropower , foundation design  and slope stability analysis

1.6. Geologist  Site

5-10 years of experience in handling the site investigation works for large hydro-electrical / dam projects.

1.7. Drafting Managers and CAD Drafters (Civil / Electrical  / Mechanical)

Experience in hydropower / infrastructures projects in preparation of RCC & Structural Steel Fabrication Drawings. excavation drawings , drafting single line Diagrams , Electrical Layouts , AutoCAD Platform for Power Projects and substation Projects  Bar bending Schedules / micro Station.

2. HIGHWAYS & TRANSPORTATION

2.1. Project Manager Design (Highway & Transportation)

Civil Engineer with Post Graduation in Civil Eng / Structural Eng. / Highway Engineering. Should have 10-15 years of experience in responsible position handling independently Designs / Highway Projects. Experience in leading a team of highway and bridge design engineers, civil liaison and project delivery. Should be well conversant with latest highway and bridge software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

2.3. Sr. Resident Engineers and Other Supervisory Staff

Experience in construction supervision of major highways projects.

2.2. Transport Economist

Having relevant Post Graduate qualification in Economic / Transportation Engineering having 15 years experience. Should also have experience of working on funded projects.

2.3. Railway Engineers OHE, Signalling , Telecom , Alignment Survey , Track Design etc.

Engineers with 5 15 years experience in all aspects of railway projects from feasibility to detailed design.

2.4. Engineers at all levels (Highways, Bridges, Traffic & Transportation, QA / QC, Pavement Design)

Civil Engineers preferably with post graduation qualification in relevant field with 5- 20 years experience on Design and / or Construction Supervision Projects Working Experience on funded projects is desirable. Designs with experience in MX road regarded.

3. BUILDINGS

3.1. Senior Structural Engineer  / Building Project Manager

Senior Structural Engineer / Project Manager to be a key member of our buildings group. The position will required demonstrated skills in project management client relationship management and business development . B.Sc in Engineering and 10-15 years exp in design and construction of multi story buildings, sports complex , / Institutional   Buildings Previous experience in the Middle East will be highly regarded.

3.2. Quantity Surveyors / QA and QC Experts

We are looking for Quantity Surveyors and QA/AC experts for our Buildings Group. The successful candidate will have a qualification from a recognized institution with 5 10 years of experience in a similar role. Previous experience in the Middle East will be highly regarded.

3.3. Planning Engineers

Will be responsible for analyzing construction programs for key building projects. the successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized university with 7-10 years of experience in a similar role. Experience in the operation of Primavera or similar software is essential. Previous experience in the Middle East will be highly regarded.

3.4. Electrical MEP Engineers

Degree qualified with 10 years exp in design and construction supervision of building projects. Previous experience in the Middle East will be highly regarded.

4. POWER GROUP

4.1. Engineers (Various disciplines Transmission , Distribution and small hydro related)

Candidates should be Graduate / Post Graduate in Engineering with 5-20 years experience in the power sector (Power Consulting / Utility Company) in any of the Transmission (Civil or electrical) Substations Protection. HV Metering Distribution, System Studies . SCADA, Communications and all Small Hydro Power M/E disciplines. Candidates with prior international exposure will be highly regarded, with either some working experience on internationally funded projects or work / education outside home country. Projects range from small hydro power rehabilitation and construction (10-100 MW) to transmission / substations 230 / 500 kV and M/E services o large hydropower projects.

4.2. Engineers (Energy Efficiency)

Electrical and Mechanical Engineers having a minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in energy auditing and implementation of energy conservation measures in industrial and commercial environments. Good communication and presentation skills (Written & oral) are specially desired.

4.3. Principal Engineers CDM

Candidates should be professionally qualified, with minimum of 12-15 years of experience in energy, technical and financial aspects of CDM and commercialization of carbon credits.

5. WATER & ENVIRONMENT

5.1. Principal Engineer Water Resources

Civil Engineer with Mater in Environment and Water having 12-15 years of relevant experience in planning , designing modeling Construction supervision and management of projects. Experience of working in consultancy & with  funding agency is a must Business Development experience will be preferred.

5.2 Principal Engineer Water Supply & Sanitation

Civil Engineer with Masters in relevant fields having a minimum of 12-15 years of relevant experience in planning , designing , modeling Construction supervision and management of projects. Experience of working in consultancy & with funding agency is a must Business Development experience will be preferred.

5.3. Engineers at all levels Water & Environment

Relevant professional qualification in Environment or Water Sector having 5-10 years or relevant experience in planning , designing , modeling Construction.

Working experience in a Consultancy Organization will be preferred. Recently retired officials from Govt / Public Sector Enterprise may also apply. Remuneration will be amongst the best in the industry.
